1. AHS Configuration

AHS uses road condition detection sensors to detect vehicles and pedestrians on the road, and uses road surface detection sensors to detect slipperiness, etc., on the road surface. The system judges which information (support information) should be transmitted to vehicles and transmits that information using road-to-vehicle communication. It also supports detection of vehicle positions within lanes. Development of the following four AHS element technologies was presented in the poster session:

  1. Development of Road Condition Detection Sensors
  2. Development of Road Surface Detection Sensors
  3. Development of Positioning Technology
  4. Development of Road-to-Vehicle Communication Systems

2. Organization and Presentation of the Poster Session

A poster session on development of AHS element technologies was organized and held in the lobby of the meeting hall.

Scenes of the poster session location Participants enthusiastically studied the posters during their breaks.
